Instructions
Muddle: In a balloon or rocks glass (or in a shaker), lightly muddle the lemon (juice or quarters) with the simple syrup and a few mint leaves—release oils and aroma, don’t shred.
Build & Chill: Add the gin and crushed ice. Stir to lift citrus oils, or shake until the outside of the shaker feels cold (about 10–15 seconds).
Serve: Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass for a clean presentation. For a rustic finish, pour all components including mint—into the glass.
Top off: Add 30–60 ml soda water to taste and give a gentle single stir.
Notes :
Navy Strength yields a bolder, spicier profile; London Dry is lighter and floral.
Garnish:
Garnish with a lemon wheel or a sprig of mint.
Tips:
Lightly clap the mint before garnishing to release enticing aroma. Use basil or thyme for a herbal twist.Over-muddling makes it bitter. Herb twist: swap in basil or thyme.
