🔧 Details & What You Need

Time to make: around 5 minutes
Glassware & Equipment: Rocks glass (Balloon or tumbler), shaker (or sturdy mixing glass & spoon)

Ingredients

🧪 Ingredients – Makes 1 serving:

    • 50ml (2 parts) Heart of Scotland Navy Strength Gin or Our London Dry Gin

    • 25ml (1 part) freshly squeezed lemon juice or 1 lemmon quarted

    • 15ml (1 part) simple syrup or 1 tsp of sugar as an alternative

    • 4~6 fresh mint sprigs

    • 30ml ~60ml  (2 ~4 parts ) soda water to taste

    • Ice cubes to half fill the glas

🌿 Garnish

    • Lime swirl or a mint sprig

Step 1 - Muddle

In the cocktail shaker or glass gently press using a muddler or hard wooden spoon the lemon juice (or quarted lemon) , simple syrup (or sugar) , and mint leaves together to release vibrant citrus oils and aromatic mint without shredding.

Step 2 - Build & Chill

Add the gin and plenty of ice. Shake (or stir) until the outside of the shaker feels cold to the touch — about 10–15 seconds.

Step 3 – Serve

Strain the drink into a rocks glass over fresh ice for a clean presentation. For a rustic finish, pour all—including mint—into the glass.

Garnish & Tips

Garnish: Top with a mint sprig and a thin lemon wheel.

Tip: Lightly clap the mint before garnishing to release enticing aroma. Use basil or thyme for a herbal twist

Why You’ll Love It

Fresh and unfussy — the Lemon Smash highlights the smooth citrus-spiced character of your Heart of Scotland gin, balanced with zesty lemon and cooling mint. It’s as easy to make as your Gin Mojito but with a distinctly citrus-forward identity.
